The picture is one I took last December during the devastating ice storms in New York.
I hope you enjoy this collaborative poem, by Jim and me!
"I HEARD SPRING ARRIVE"
Yesterday,
I heard spring arrive.
Crash!
Crush!
Crumble!
The roar went on.
The ice was gone!
The entire sheet
disintegrated,
fell into the ditch.
Ice frame clinging
to mud, and brush, and trees
perfectly,
like the sill on a window.
I watched
and listened,
as this too slowly
gave up its grip,
falling
to the waters below.
Yesterday,
I heard spring arrive,
and it was awesome!

Emily D. was always just a tad too obscure for me.
Well, fortunately for both of us, this poem is anything BUT obscure! LOL!
Haven't had the opportunity to read any of Dickinson's work, but this is descriptively beautiful ~ Bravo!
lol...the first part sounds like wolfie alright...
its lovely kitts...
My career and most of my life is dedicated to preserving the environment. So I am always pleased when the artist find and can convey what I see and feel about nature in words or images.
The whole of it is Taz, Mannu! They are all HIS words! I just put them together in a certain way!
This wonderful! You and Taz did it!
A fine collaboration indeed. :D
What a lovely composition. Tell this Taz person "Kudos" from me, would ya? *smiles*
