LOL - I just love this poem. I am not really the poetry type, but it was always my favourite and one of the only poems I ever learnt by heart. I have never heard it recited before. My version would probably be with more an english accent. The words are so good, mean nothing, and as far as I know Lewis Carroll never really left any instructions about how to pronounce them. I loved listening to this.
Thank you, Laci! I have always loved this poem! I use it to teach kids that they know a whole lot about how language works, even if they don't "know" the language.
If you could just SEE the huge grin on my face! I just listened... first time I heard your voice, I think... you're an excellent reader, and you've got a wonderful voice!
AND Alice... oh Alice! It's one of my all time favorites... THANK you!
heh heh I remember having to memorize this beast in the 6th grade. We spent a week making up "definitions" for all the non-sense words. Just WHAT was Carroll smoking anyway??? heh heh
I've always love the Jabberwocky, it made you visualize and make up what it all looked like in your mind. I remember it from like 3rd grade....around there sometime.

So... how much gyring & gimbleing did you need to do...? (-:
It works well as an MP3! (PM me an email address for a copy).
You're welcome, Sky!
Leon, no gyring nor gimbling necessary! I just sat back and watched the "beamish boy" do it! With glee, I might add! *chuckles*
great reading!
Thank you, Vinny!

Thank you, Jack!
Snick! Er...snack.
How about writing a version where the Jabberwocky eats the beamish boy?
